I might be a foodie...

I think I might be a foodie.  I don't really know what that term exactly means but it is the term that is being thrown around right now.  You know very trendy.  I really believe we are all foodies.  I mean seriously we cannot survive without food.  But some folks are much more serious about their food.  Nothing wrong with that.  Taste, texture, appearance, smell.  Makes sense to me.  Anyway, I enjoy cooking sometimes.  I love baking but then I want to eat it and I am trying to take off some significant weight.  I do mean significant.  Weight that has accumulated since grade school.  I wonder what it feels like to be a "normal" weight.  Anyway that is a story that I really don't intend to get into.  I made this delicious looking and might I say tasting chicken salad lunch a few days ago.  I was so impressed with how pretty it was that I had to take a picture.

I have to say I enjoyed this a lot and it was quick and easy.  Maybe if I can get more into dishes like this the weight loss won't be so tough.  Ha who am I fooling.

As for a more pleasant topic....stitching.  I have completed my January progress for the Snooty Parrots SAL.  Super excited that I can say I am keeping up...at least right now.  Now I'm stitching the smalls that were provided by the designer for free.

I am excited by how beautiful the colors are.  This picture doesn't do it justice, but hey what do you expect from an Android phone camera.   I am also excited to be learning about more stitching techniques and stitching accessories.  Like finely crafted scroll frames and stands...I have a wish list now.  I have my eye on a Millenium frame from Needle Needs in the UK and the floor stand.

Well back to work...thanks for stopping.  Penny

    1. Thanks Sue! Nothing fancy. I had left over chicken breasts. Probably about 3 cups chopped up. I mixed about 1/4 cup of miracle whip with approx. 3 - 4 Tbs of olive oil. I was eyeballing to have enough dressing. I added powdered garlic, pepper, salt to taste and a little mustard. Mixed that up with chicken and added halved grapes and carrot peels.
