I live in a small town, maybe around 5000 in population, give or take. Of course I could be way off, I have never been a good estimator of any kind. But really that doesn't matter. We have a nice grocery store, 3 doctor's offices, a Chiropractor (me), 2 dentists, etc. We also have a McDonald's that I typically visit 4 to 5 mornings per week for coffee (and maybe some other stuff). You know how it is because this is a small town I know many wonderful people who work there. I was so moved this morning when I went through the drive thru and as I was ready to pull away a lovely woman said to me, "Pray for us." I immediately answered I will. You know in my life this fairly common. I ask for and pray for people daily. But this morning I was overwhelmed by the awesomeness of God. In the absolute power of His love that He can prompt us anywhere at anytime to ask for pray and to have someone pray for us. I am even having a hard time putting into words how that small request made me feel this morning. A gentle reminder to a door for peace, healing and salvation.
When someone asks me to pray for them I am humbled and honored because I realize now that it is a privilege and a great responsibility. God has so many more prayer warriors who much better intercessors than I am but He hears each and everyone of us.
Thank you to the person who asked me to pray for them. It was collective and I don't know specifically who the request is for..it does not matter...God knows. And don't we all need prayer? Yes, everyday, all day.
Thank you to God for the privilege of bringing everything to Him in prayer through Jesus Christ.
Pray today....everyday....all day......
